In this Richmond flat we laid approx. 15 sqm sqm of walnut engineered wood flooring. During our obligation-free survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors and discussed with the client all possible options.

Our client has decided to go for floor fitting, and install with solid oak scotia beading around perimeter.

How the fitting of the floors went...

After our floor installers have checked all service, property & products details on site, including amount of products supply, they started with lifting existing hardwood flooring and its preparation for disposal to our waste facility.

During this flooring project we laid 15 sqm of engineered wood flooring, with floating installation, over concrete subfloors onto Duralay Excel Silver 3.7 mm underlay with DPM barrier .

Due to the change of level, after the new flooring was installed - our experienced, local Richmond floor fitters made sure all affected doors & door frames are trimmed to height and adjusted to new flooring.

Overall the project was completed as planned and to the satisfaction of the client.

Did you know this about walnut flooring?

Walnut is a beautiful gray-brownish timber in its unfinished look, which is usually supplied, laid and finished into a dark-brown appearance. Lovely in its dark domain, the walnut timber can have a contemporary look when finished in invisible / raw lacquer as well to preserve its untreated look.
