Before the installation works...
In this Central London flat we installed approx. 93 sqm sqm of oak parquet flooring. During our free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors and discussed with the client all possible options.
Our client has decided to go for floor fitting, beading installation, floor sanding, gap filling, and install Timbercraft Oak Parquet Flooring, Rustic, Unfinished with solid white scotia beading around perimeter.
How the floor installation was completed...
After our floor installers have checked all service, property & products details on site, including amount of products supply, they started with lifting existing carpets and its preparation for disposal to our waste facility.
During this flooring project we fitted 93 sqm of parquet flooring, specifically - Timbercraft Oak Parquet Flooring, Rustic, Unfinished with glue-down installation in herringbone pattern with border around, over timber subfloor (chipboard).
Parquet flooring fitting requires years of experience, skills and the right carpentry tools. Depending on the overall condition of the subfloor, our initial assessment identifies if sepcific subfloor preparation will be required.
Our works included sanding of approx. parquet flooring and finishing in 2 coats Lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Lacquer.
We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply the resin filler with saw dust in late hours of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning , if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids .
Due to the change of level, after the new flooring was installed - our experienced, local Central London floor fitters made sure all affected doors & door frames are trimmed to height and adjusted to new flooring.
Overall the project was completed as scheduled and to the delight of the client.
